Grey smoke lenses perform best in bright sunny conditions. They are considered neutral because they do not enhance contrast nor distort colours. Yellow lenses have excellent contrast enhancement and depth perception properties. They are especially effective in flat light or overcast conditions helping to increase visibility. Clear lenses are used typically to protect the eyes from impact, debris and the elements in very dull conditions or at night whilst still giving 100% protection from harmful UV rays.
